I have stayed in hostels all over and my experience at this hostel in Amsterdam was very nice. I stayed for nine days and eight nights with my two traveling companions. My first impression was quite good. The staff gave us a warm welcome and got us checked in and into our rooms quickly. The room I stayed in was bright, clean and cheerful. The bathroom was very clean and I was pleased to see that the advertised hot showers were indeed available at any time.
The location is very convenient. My companions and I were easily able to find our way around. We spent a lot of time walking the neighborhood which was a huge plus for us. The hostel was also close enough to the Amsterdam Zoo that I was able to easily walk there by myself which was something I really wanted to do. It is located close enough to attractions to be convenient but is not located on a noisy street which I appreciated very much.
Overall I would definitely stay at this hostel again. When I travel all I need is a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay and this place fit the bill perfectly. I would absolutely recommend the Centraal Hostel Amsterdam to fellow travelers.
